Rajnath Singh Hoists Flag at Annapurna Temple on Second Anniversary of Pran Pratishtha
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday hoisted the ceremonial flag at the Annapurna Temple located inside the Ram Temple complex in Ayodhya. The event marked the second anniversary of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla and was attended by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and several religious leaders.
The Annapurna Temple is one of the seven temples constructed within the grand Ram Temple complex. The flag hoisting ceremony was conducted with traditional rituals and devotional fervour, symbolising spiritual prosperity and gratitude.
Special Prayers and Rituals Performed
Before reaching the Ram Temple complex, Rajnath Singh and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered prayers at the historic Hanumangarhi Temple. Afterward, they proceeded to the Annapurna Temple, where the Defence Minister hoisted the flag at the temple summit.
The occasion coincided with Pratishtha Dwadashi, during which special religious ceremonies including Yagya, Hawan, and puja were conducted across Ayodhya.
Ayodhya Immersed in Devotion
The city of Lord Rama witnessed a deeply spiritual atmosphere as devotees gathered in large numbers to mark the second anniversary of the consecration of Ram Lalla. Around 1,200 saints and religious leaders from across the country participated in the celebrations.
The rituals were held in the presence of senior saints, Dharmacharyas, and devotees, making the occasion a historic spiritual gathering.

The consecration of Ram Lalla took place on January 22, 2024, in a grand ceremony led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Last month, PM Modi also hoisted the saffron flag atop the Ram Temple, marking the completion of its construction.
This year’s celebrations further strengthened the religious and cultural importance of Ayodhya, reaffirming its central place in India’s spiritual heritage.
