Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri Gears Up For Release Amid Stiff Competition
With only two days remaining before its theatrical debut, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, starring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday, is slowly gaining traction. The youthful vibe, fresh pairing, and melodious soundtrack have generated interest among moviegoers, while advance bookings officially opened over the weekend.
Dharma Productions Seeks Balanced Show Allocation
According to trade sources, Dharma Productions’ distribution team has adopted a realistic and measured approach while negotiating screen space with exhibitors. The makers are fully aware of the ongoing dominance of Dhurandhar and the wide release of Avatar: Fire And Ash, both of which continue to command a significant number of screens.
Requested Minimum Shows Per Theatre Category
The distribution plan outlines a modest minimum showcase across different theatre formats:
- Single-screen cinemas: Minimum of 2 shows
- Two-screen multiplexes: 5 shows per day
- Three-screen multiplexes: 6 shows
- Four-screen multiplexes: 8 shows
- Five-screen multiplexes: 12 shows
- Six-screen multiplexes: 14 shows
- Seven screens and above: At least 16 shows daily
Booking Delays Despite Reasonable Demands
Despite these fair terms, the film is reportedly struggling to secure its desired show count. As of the morning of December 23, ticket sales had only opened in multiplexes with four or more screens, and even there, bookings were limited to a single screen in many locations.
Long Runtimes Add To Scheduling Challenges
The situation is further complicated by the extended runtimes of all three films currently dominating cinemas. With both Dhurandhar and Avatar: Fire And Ash exceeding three hours, exhibitors are finding it difficult to evenly divide show timings, especially during the busy Christmas period.
Industry Praises Dharma’s Practical Strategy
An industry insider praised Dharma Productions for maintaining a balanced stance. Unlike aggressive distribution tactics seen in the past, the team behind Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri has refrained from pushing for complete domination of screens.
Given Kartik Aaryan’s rising popularity and the strong audience appeal of romantic comedies, trade experts believe the film deserves a fair opportunity to perform at the box office once audiences get a chance to watch it.
