The Raja Saab Box Office Day 3: Prabhas Film Crosses ₹150 Cr Worldwide, Beats Akhanda 2

The Raja Saab Box Office Day 3: Prabhas Film Crosses ₹150 Cr Worldwide, Beats Akhanda 2

Day 3 Box Office Performance

The Raja Saab opened to a massive response on Friday, earning approximately ₹100 crore worldwide on its first day. However, collections dropped sharply on Saturday, especially in overseas markets, while India witnessed a decline of over 50 percent.

Sunday collections also dipped further, with domestic earnings falling by nearly 20 percent. By the end of day three, the film managed ₹109 crore net in India, translating to around ₹130 crore gross.

Overseas markets, led by a strong opening in the United States, contributed over $3 million, pushing the global total to ₹158 crore.

The Raja Saab Beats Akhanda 2

With its three-day total, The Raja Saab has surpassed several recent Telugu releases. The film has overtaken Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2, which had a lifetime collection of around ₹128 crore worldwide.

It has also edged past Mirai, which concluded its theatrical run at approximately ₹150 crore, making The Raja Saab one of the highest-grossing Telugu films in recent times.

What’s Next for the Film?

Trade analysts expect a sharp drop on Monday, a common trend for big-ticket releases. However, collections may see a revival midweek due to the Sankranti holiday, potentially pushing the film closer to the ₹200 crore mark.

About The Raja Saab

Directed by Maruthi, The Raja Saab marks Prabhas’ return to a family entertainer after more than a decade. Following the Baahubali franchise, the actor had largely focused on action-heavy roles.

The film features an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, Boman Irani, and Zarina Wahab.

Despite negative reviews from critics, fans have praised Prabhas’ performance, calling it a comeback to his “vintage” charm, which continues to draw audiences to theatres.
