Sunny Deol’s Emotional Moment with BSF Jawans at Border 2 Song Launch in Jaisalmer

Whistles, Cheers and Pride: Sunny Deol’s Special Bond with BSF Jawans at Border 2 Song Launch

An atmosphere filled with patriotism, nostalgia and emotion unfolded at Tanot near the Longewala border in Jaisalmer as the song “Ghar Kab Aaoge” from Border 2 was officially unveiled on January 2. The launch wasn’t just a musical event—it was a heartfelt tribute to the armed forces and their families.

A Border-Side Launch Like No Other

Set against the backdrop of the desert and India’s western frontier, the song launch brought together BSF jawans, their families, and the film’s cast and crew. The presence of Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahaan Shetty, singer Sonu Nigam, producer Niddhi Dutta, and the T-Series team made the evening memorable.

Sunny Deol’s Hero’s Welcome

“Sher Aaya” Echoes at the Border

As Sunny Deol arrived at the venue, BSF jawans erupted with chants of “Sher aaya,” a moment that captured the deep affection they hold for the actor. His screen presence during the song screening drew loud whistles and applause, reinforcing his enduring image as a symbol of courage and patriotism.

Sonu Nigam’s Soul-Stirring Performance

Adding to the emotional intensity of the evening, Sonu Nigam performed Ghar Kab Aaoge live—without any background music. His raw and powerful rendition resonated deeply with the audience, many of whom were visibly moved as memories of separation and sacrifice surfaced.

An Emotional Moment for Sunny Deol

A Personal Loss Shared Publicly

Addressing the gathering, Sunny Deol appeared overwhelmed as he spoke briefly about the recent loss of his father, Dharmendra, who passed away on November 24, 2025. He shared that his decision to act in Border years ago was inspired after watching his father’s classic film Haqeeqat.

Struggling to continue, he said softly that he wasn’t in a state to speak much, a moment that brought silence and empathy from the jawans and their families.

“I Am Part of Your Family”

Sunny Deol referred to himself as a lifelong member of the BSF family, a statement that felt mutual to everyone present. The bond between the actor and the jawans—built through cinema and shared emotion—was evident throughout the evening.

A Song That Connects Hearts Across Borders

The launch of Ghar Kab Aaoge went beyond promoting a film. It became a reminder of the emotional distance endured by soldiers and the families waiting for their safe return. Against the sands of Jaisalmer, the song found its most meaningful audience.
