Dhurandhar Continues Strong Box Office Run
Nearly two months after its theatrical release, Dhurandhar continues to attract audiences across the country. The film has shown remarkable consistency, delivering steady collections even in its eighth week.
During its eighth weekend, the film earned around ₹2.9 crore net, followed by an additional ₹1.25 crore on Republic Day. These numbers pushed its total domestic earnings beyond the coveted ₹1000 crore mark.
Record-Breaking Domestic Collection
As of its 53rd day in cinemas, Dhurandhar has amassed approximately ₹1002 crore gross (around ₹835 crore net) at the Indian box office.
This achievement allows Dhurandhar to surpass the previous Bollywood record held by Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, which had earned ₹760 crore gross in India.
Entry Into the Elite ₹1000 Crore Club
With this milestone, Dhurandhar joins an extremely exclusive list of films that have crossed ₹1000 crore domestically. What makes this achievement even more significant is that all other films in this club belong to the South Indian film industry.
The current top performers in this elite group include:
- Pushpa 2: The Rule – ₹1471 crore (India)
- Baahubali 2: The Conclusion – ₹1417 crore (India)
- KGF Chapter 2 – ₹1001 crore (India)
- Dhurandhar – ₹1002 crore (India)
Dhurandhar stands out as the only Bollywood film to achieve this landmark feat.
Strong Overseas Performance Despite Challenges
The film has also delivered impressive numbers internationally. Despite facing a ban in Middle Eastern territories, Dhurandhar has earned over $33 million overseas.
Its worldwide box office collection currently stands close to ₹1300 crore, making it one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time.
Star Cast and Sequel Announcement
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar features Ranveer Singh in the lead role, supported by Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal.
Riding on its massive success, the makers have already confirmed Dhurandhar 2, which is scheduled to release in March and will conclude the storyline.
