Mardaani 3 Release Plan Revealed: Normal Ticket Prices, Limited Shows Per Theatre

Mardaani 3 Release Plan Revealed: Normal Ticket Prices, Limited Shows Per Theatre

Ticket Prices Kept at Normal Admission Rates

According to trade sources, YRF has instructed exhibitors to maintain standard ticket pricing for Mardaani 3. The film will be sold at rates similar to YRF’s 2025 sleeper hit Saiyaara, avoiding premium or blockbuster pricing.

This move is aimed at encouraging footfalls while ensuring accessibility for a wider audience.

Strict Show Allocation Guidelines for Cinemas

The distribution plan clearly defines the number of daily shows based on theatre size:

  • Two-screen cinemas: Only 2 shows, starting from 3:00 pm onwards
  • Three-screen cinemas: 4 shows, with the first show no earlier than 10:00 am
  • Four-screen cinemas: 5 shows beginning after 10:00 am
  • Five or more screens: Maximum of 6 shows per day

Importantly, YRF has mandated that no theatre can exceed six shows per day under any circumstances.

Single-Screen Theatres to Be Evaluated Individually

For single-screen cinemas, YRF plans to take decisions on a case-by-case basis. Select premium single screens that attract urban or upscale audiences may get one or two shows, depending on local demand and audience profile.

This approach challenges the assumption that single screens cater only to mass audiences.

Show-Sharing Challenges With Border 2

Despite the balanced strategy, reports suggest that show-sharing conflicts have emerged in several single-screen and two-screen theatres with last week’s strong performer, Border 2.

Trade insiders expect these issues to be sorted out by Thursday evening, ensuring a smoother rollout for Mardaani 3.

Marathi Film Releases Postponed

Meanwhile, the theatrical landscape in Maharashtra has been affected by the sudden demise of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. As a mark of respect, two Marathi films scheduled for January 30 have been postponed.

Ranapati Shivray Swari Agra has been pushed to February 6, while the new release date for Punha Ekda Sade Made 3, starring Ashok Saraf, is yet to be announced.

Final Take

With normal ticket pricing and controlled show counts, Mardaani 3’s release strategy prioritizes sustainability over saturation. The approach reflects YRF’s confidence in strong word-of-mouth and long-term box office performance.
