What Kangana Said About AR Rahman
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Kangana shared a screenshot of Rahman from a BBC Asian Network interview and wrote a sharply worded message. She stated that despite facing bias in the film industry due to her political views, she had “never encountered someone more prejudiced and hateful.”
Kangana claimed that she had wanted to narrate her directorial venture to Rahman but alleged that he refused to even meet her.
According to her post, she was informed that Rahman did not want to associate with what he believed was a “propaganda film.” Kangana countered this by asserting that Emergency received strong critical appreciation and praise for its balanced portrayal.
She added that even leaders from opposition parties had acknowledged the film’s compassionate storytelling, concluding her note by saying that Rahman was “blinded by hate.”
