Border 2 Worldwide Box Office Day 4: Sunny Deol Starrer Races Past ₹250 Crore
Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan’s war epic Border 2 continues its phenomenal theatrical run, crossing the ₹250-crore mark globally within just four days of release. The film benefited hugely from the extended Republic Day weekend, recording major growth at the domestic box office and steady momentum overseas.
Massive Republic Day Boost
The Anurag Singh-directed film opened strongly despite early show disruptions and went on to gather pace through the weekend. Its fourth day proved especially lucrative, with theatres reporting packed houses across the country as patriotic fervour drove ticket sales.
In India alone, the movie has now collected around ₹180 crore net over four days, translating to a gross figure of more than ₹212 crore. Republic Day turned into its biggest single day so far, delivering nearly ₹59 crore in domestic earnings.
Global Numbers Keep Climbing
Internationally, the film has also struck gold. After a robust showing in overseas markets, the worldwide tally has surged to roughly ₹251 crore, making Border 2 one of the fastest Hindi films in recent times to enter the elite ₹250-crore club.
Surpasses Recent Big-Ticket Releases
With this milestone, the war drama has overtaken the lifetime worldwide collections of several notable titles released over the past year, including Salman Khan’s Sikandar and Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2. Trade analysts believe the film is now firmly on course to touch the ₹300-crore mark within days if current trends hold.

Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta and Nidhi Dutta, the film features a large ensemble including Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana and Anya Singh in key roles.
Border 2 serves as a spiritual follow-up to J.P. Dutta’s 1997 blockbuster Border, a landmark war film that starred Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty, Akshaye Khanna and Jackie Shroff and remains a fan favourite to this day.
As Bollywood’s first major tentpole release of 2026, Border 2 has clearly struck a chord with audiences, and its box office march shows little sign of slowing.
