Jaguar GT EV & Electric Range Rover India Launch, Expected Price and Details

Jaguar GT EV & Electric Range Rover India Launch, Expected Price and Details

Jaguar and Range Rover Prepare Major EV Debuts

The luxury car segment is gearing up for a big transformation as Jaguar and Range Rover move deeper into the electric vehicle space. Both brands have confirmed important milestones for their upcoming EV models, including new-generation platforms, booking schedules, and future market strategies with India in clear focus.

Electric Range Rover: What to Expect

The Electric Range Rover will mark the brand’s first fully electric SUV. After nearly two years of road testing, the model is expected to deliver a driving range of close to 600 kilometres on a single charge. All-wheel drive is likely to be standard across the lineup, ensuring the same off-road credibility buyers associate with the nameplate.

A special Launch Edition is anticipated in both four-seat and five-seat configurations. For India, industry estimates suggest pricing could begin around ₹3 crore (ex-showroom), positioning it at the very top of the electric luxury SUV segment.

Jaguar’s Radical EV Shift Led by the GT

Jaguar is undergoing a dramatic reinvention, phasing out its current petrol and diesel portfolio in favour of a fully electric future. Leading this charge will be the new Jaguar GT EV, previewed earlier in prototype form. The sleek four-door design hints at grand tourer proportions, while performance figures reportedly stretch close to the 1,000bhp mark in higher-spec versions, complete with all-wheel drive.

The production model will ride on a fresh architecture and is expected to debut globally in 2026. If introduced in India as part of the brand’s expansion plans, pricing could fall in the ₹2.5–3 crore bracket, depending on specifications and import strategy.

New EMA Platform and Future Models

Alongside these headline-grabbing cars, the manufacturer will also unveil a brand-new electric SUV based on its EMA platform later this year. This underpins next-generation Land Rover and Range Rover EVs, signalling a steady pipeline of premium electric products for the second half of the decade.

India in the Spotlight

India is being treated as a priority market for upcoming luxury EVs, especially for the Electric Range Rover. Growing high-end EV adoption, improved charging infrastructure, and strong demand for premium SUVs make the country a strategic destination for future launches.
