Tata Safari Petrol Introduced with New Ultra Variant and Premium Feature Upgrades

Tata Motors has revealed the petrol-powered version of the Safari SUV for the Indian market, expanding its lineup with a new Ultra variant positioned under the top-spec Accomplished trim. This update brings a host of modern features and improved technology to the popular three-row SUV.

New Ultra Variant Highlights

The newly introduced Ultra variant enhances the Safari’s premium appeal by adding several advanced features, many of which are inspired by Tata’s electric vehicle offerings. The focus is on comfort, connectivity, and safety.

Feature Enhancements

The Tata Safari Ultra variant offers a wide range of upgrades, including:

  • A large Harman touchscreen infotainment system with Samsung Neo QLED display technology

  • Level 2 ADAS with 22 advanced safety features

  • VisionEX digital IRVM with integrated dash camera and Dolby Atmos support

  • Sliding centre armrest for improved front-seat comfort

  • Front and rear camera washer system for better visibility

  • Built-in navigation with Alexa voice integration

  • Memory ORVMs with auto reverse-dip functionality

  • New Oyster White and Gold interior colour theme

These upgrades significantly elevate the cabin experience and strengthen the Safari’s position in the premium SUV segment.

Petrol Engine and Transmission Options

The petrol-powered Safari is equipped with the new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol Hyperion engine, recently introduced with the Tata Sierra. Unlike the Sierra, the Safari petrol is offered with both manual and automatic transmission options, catering to a wider range of buyers.
